Rebirth...

Life,

slowly awakening from a winter slumber,

the sun,

melting away the chill of the snow and ice,

nature,

busy with it’s tasks of creating new life,

Spring,

the miracle of rebirth.

The wind, blowing gently, leaves across a blanket of green grass,

The cool air, crisp to the sound of leaves underfoot,

Sun, beating down, trying to warm the earth and it’s inhabitants,

Spring, emerging from a long lingering winters sleep.

The smell of clean linen, wind blowing the sheets like dancing ballerinas,
Rain falling from the sky, droplets of gold from a blue
and white dream,
Falling back into a soft and flowing bed of wheat,
rushing the fields edge like a tide.

A secret...

I hear your voice and in me

starts a dream so deep and true

and though the people aren't the same

I know it's me and you

The past you must remain within

our lives are not the same

but in the dark when we are one

we'll always play the game

The passion deep within my soul

burns only for your touch

a secret I can never tell

I came across a card from you

My thoughts flew to the past

A time when our love had been young

And we thought that it would last.

I'd like to tell a story

about life and death and love

a tale of two lives passing

returning to god above

they say it's infatuation

when first in love you fall

I knew it went much deeper

for to each other they gave all

through childhood days their love grew

and together till their teens

their hearts cried out to others

those who know what true love means

from eyes that watched so closely

their feelings had been hidden

to openly express their love

was wrong and was forbidden

I found them on that morning

how it happened I can't say

together they had risked it all

and at last they found a way

I wasn't ready for

And every time I turned a page

Your desires were much stronger

I cannot fill the needs you have

My needs are not among the flesh

All interest lays not there

But in my heart my mind and soul

crushed my spirit,

and taken my hopes and dreams.

I am a vision of self pity

Here in the dark I see you

and remembering how we parted

has me longing for the moment

when our paths will once more cross.

Your eyes reached deep inside me

at the time that we first met

and left within me embers

that was started by a spark.

But when we parted on that day

the beauty I had found

turned sunshine into darkness

for so long I'd lost my way.

When I had reached my hand unsure

of who would lift me out

through tears of pain I saw you

and I knew I'd be alright.

My days are filled with beauty 

now that I have you beside me

a mistake I made once in the past

An evening prayer

Dear Lord I pray as now I rest

your hand you'll place upon me

and in the morn when I awake

that once again you'll guide me

Place in my heart a love for those

who irritate and harm me

that I may show them by my ways

the person that they could be

Bless all the lives I've come to know

and those that I hold dear

allow me patience through my life

till judgement day is here.

Confusion

Confusion often hampers all the feelings which I hold,

And forces them behind the wall

Which fear of past turned cold.

So many I have passed by 

Dreaming for my yesterday,
